Who Are We

Calisthenics Universal League (C.U.L) also recognised as “Calisthenics Street League” (C.S.L) is an organisation that hosts calisthenics sports events, Training programs retreats plus more.
C.U.L has been active since early 2018 with two successful summer competitions (“Kennington Classics”14-man Amateur tournament) which took place on the 14th July 2018, and the (16 -man Battle Royale Semi-Pro tournament) which took place on 8th Sept 2018. Both tournaments saw between 100-150 spectators.
Calisthenics competitions are usually judged in a similar way as gymnastics whereby the rules comprise of a grading system for static and dynamic movements, where form, strength and execution score the highest points.
Since the birth of C.U.L, we have seen a rise in both young adults striving to become calisthenics athletes as well as active interest from different community groups enquiring for more events.

C.U.L TIMELINE

On the 14th July 2018 Calisthenics Universal League (C.U.L) under the name of Calisthenics Street League (C.S.L), held its first ever UK amateur Freestyle competition. 14 U.K male athletes went head to head in an elimination style battle in order to determine the strongest contender as the winner. Alongside the male, three female athletes also stepped forward to go head to head in an elimination style battle in order to determine the superior female as the winner. It was an absolute spectacle with  energy flowing high from the 100-150 spectators that turned up to cheer on and show their support for their preferred athletes and the movement as a whole. Special thanks to the prominent sponsor for this event at LODE LONDON and all the other contributors and volunteers that played a part in making this day an unforgettable historic ordeal.

On the 8th of Sept 2018. Calisthenics Universal League under the name Calisthenics Street League held its second freestyle calisthenics sports event, however this time targeting the semi pro level athletes. This ordeal saw between 100-200 spectators that came out to show their support towards the newly emerging community. On the event line up was a 16 man clash which had 16 semi pro male athletes going head to head in an elimination style battle in order to determine the winner. The event also included a men’s Main event face off  grudge clash between L.O.D.E_Ent and Prominent Freestyle Veteran Black lion, and also a female face off grudge clash between long reigning U.K freestyle Champion Simeon Ming vs Challenger Laura Moore. This was another epic day to go down in history for the U.K Calisthenics Scene, with energy at its peak from everyone that attended. Special Thanks to the prominent sponsor for this event at LODE LONDON and all the other contributors and volunteers that played a part in making this day an unforgettable ordeal.

On the 25th of May 2019 Calisthenics Universal League partnered up with Norwich Calisthenics to host our first ever indoor calisthenics sports event in Norwich. This ordeal saw between 150-200 spectators that came from all over the U.K to show their support and to be a part of this spectacle. On the event line up was a male and female reps competition, a 12 man clash which had 12 semi pro male athletes going head to head in an elimination style battle in order to determine the winner. The event also included an international Main event face off men’s clash between David (Team Vici) from Denmark and UK Men’s Freestyle Champion Motive from (team 24). Also a Trio female face off grudge clash was part of the card line up . This event was again an absolute epic ordeal, special thanks to the prominent sponsors at Ramass Fitness, Bartrick Parkour, LODE LONDON and Norwich Calisthenics.

On the 14th of September 2019, Calisthenics Universal League hosted an international calisthenics sports event, inviting athletes from all over Europe, countries included the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark plus more. This event drew a lot of online traction as well see over 300 spectators turn up on the day to be a part of the ordeal. The line up on the event card was an 8 international men’s freestyle competition, 4 international female freestyle competition and a face off championship title battle between David (team Vici)from Denmark and Mark Henry (couplex) from the Netherlands. Also on the event line up was a male and female reps battles. This event was the first event that Calisthenics Universal League introduced Video Assistant Refereeing (VAR) to our Sports Platform in order to boost the professionalism of the sports and ensure further quality control throughout the judging panel. Special thanks to our extended VAR technical team Calisthenics Bond from the Netherlands. Again this day was an unforgettable energy filled day, another one to go down in history for the UK calisthenics scene. Tribute to the main sponsors that powered this event at Ramass Fitness, Bartrick Parkour, LODE LONDON, ROAR POWER and DELTON DIGITAL.

On the 22-23rd of November Calisthenics Universal League assisted Calisthenics Bond Federation to introduce Video assisted Refereeing (VAR) to The Royalbarzz Cup 2019 at the Netherlands. This partnership helped to solidify our alliance with the `Netherlands and sound our intentions to build a solid relation throughout other countries in Europe in order to create a universal rule structure for freestyle calisthenics within Europe. VAR proofed to be an extra useful judging tool that ensured the sporting events are judged fairly and the professionalism of the sports was on every organisations agenda. Special Thanks To all the Amazing athletes that attended this ordeal throughout Europe, the amazing calisthenics community in the Netherlands, RoyalBarzz Organisation and Calisthenics Bond Federation

 On the 8th of March 2020, for the first time four countries came together to discuss the future advancement and betterment of the calisthenics Sport games in hope to take calisthenics to a higher level by sounding our intention to join other countries in other to create a recognisable universal rule structure world-wide. Amongst the countries was Calisthenics Universal League representing UK, Poland, Netherlands and Germany.
